Elements Only!

I often see images posted on the net and in Digital Art magazines of digital collages where no photos are used. I fancied having a go but found it really hard to do this type of digital art/collage. I'm usually inspired by the photo or a quote that sort of goes with a photo.

Anyway, here are my first two real attempts that I'm actually willing to share.

Yellow Phase

I appear to be in a yellow phase with my images right now. Nothing wrong with yellow. It's cheerful and warm and makes me feel good. Here are a few of my 'Yellow Phase' creations.

This last piece is total whimsy, not especially good but I had fun doing it.

I wonder what phase I'll be in next?!!!

Creative Mojo is Missing!

Well, as I'm sure all artists and creative folk can attest to, my creative mojo has gone AWOL. Some days I can create like someone possessed and then my creative mojo clears off. It doesn't normally go for long but this time it seems to have taken an extended holiday. Hopefully it's sight seeing and finding lots of images and ideas for me when it gets back.

At times like this I actually do what got me into digital art in the first place..... I create digital scrapbook pages. And sometimes my creative spark appears for a short while. Here is a single page of a walk along a canal not far from where I used to live. I also created just a single artsy page from one of the photos.

The walk was along part of the Llangollen Canal at Whixall, North Shropshire. UK.

Welcome to my new blog.

I have been digital scrapbooking for a while now and decided to offer my services as a 'Scrap 4 Hire' business.

I believe in preserving our memories for future generations. All too often we end up with drawers full of photos that within a very short time become meaningless because we don't know who, where or when they were taken.

On this blog I will share with you my ramblings and creations.

This picture was inspired by the song 'Windmills of Your Mind'. The windmill is a photograph that I took at Marsh Mill, Thornton.

I am exploring a variety of styles and also having a go at art Journalling purely for myself.
